I'm using Gridfinity and I wanted a second layer in my Ikea Alex drawer but for it to slide for easy access rather than stacking individual bins. This is my simple solution
I'm using the Gridfinity with snap connectors by Neel https://www.printables.com/model/430144-gridfinity-base-with-snap-connectors for my bases, and found the remix that HuMa had done to create spacers with the snap connectors. I took the 5mm deep one and added a simple flat drawer front, and then a handle from thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:51386 scaled and cut down to fit.
The result is basically a drawer front that can snap to the front of a gridfinity baseplate that is using Neel's system. Its quick and dirty and the torsion applied at the joint may not last, so I may need to revisit to add some braces to the back, but for now it seems to solve my initial requirements.
The author remixed this model.
