Description

This is a container whose primary purpose is to protect the triggers and bumpers of the GPD Win Mini when it's put inside another bag.

The container has nubs in the ends to offset the bumpers and triggers so that no pressure is applied to them when in the case.

The GPD Win Mini is intended to be inserted in a specific orientation, which is the bottom against the wall which has a nub on it.

THIS IS NOT A CARRYING CASE, THE LID IS HELD IN BY FRICTION, IT WILL DETACH BY GRAVITY IF NOT SECURED, THIS IS MAINLY TO BE USED INSIDE ANOTHER BAG!

Update 2nd Jan 2024:-

I realized that the GPD Mini's connected standby implementation leaves the fan on for a LOOOOOONG time.. even if it's not running at full burst, it's best to let the heat out from the case, so I uploaded a version of the body with holes in it near the vent.

For a tight fit, apply foam tape (1mm thick)

  • On the surface of BOTH side of raised nubs on each end. (long tweezers are your friends!)
  • Around the surface which contact the top of the GPD Win Mini
  • On the surfaces that contact the LOWER front of the Win Mini, the top screen cover extends a bit and would cause a very tight fit if foam is present.

With foam tape applying pressure, the GPD Win Mini shouldn't vibrate around in the case and thus there should be little chance of any surface scratches cause by the device moving around the layer lines.

THAT SAID, USER BEWARE, AND I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY THIS CASE.

For a final post printing task, use a file (files are your friends!) and file down the corners of the box so you don't scratch yourself on them when reaching for it in a bag. 😝

Two versions of the cap has been provided.

  • Original :- Has a 0.05mm gap between the cap and and the body's attachment collar. Provides a nice tight fit as the layer lines push against each other. But expects printing tolerances to be
  • Loose Cap:- Has a 0.1 gap between the cap and the collar. Use if printer tolerances aren't that good, or if you want a cap that should effortlessly slide off.
