It is intended to weatherproof a XT60 plug. Like for being used as a cars external charger connector or external power supply.
It can be mounted directly to something rigid or also left hanging alone on the cable.
If you want to mount it however, the drilling template might come in handy. Have a 5mm ( or size 3/64) pilot hole first, insert the template and drill the mounting holes for the plug.
The gasket part has to be printed out of FLEX material of course but if you dont have some or dont want the seal, you can use the Outlet without also. All the other parts can be printed in PETG but PLA works fine too.
For attaching the base to the cap part and also securing the XT60 plug in place, a M3x4 screw (like for mounting PC hardware) works fine. Similar hardware works too. You might also just glue the XT60 in place
