I designed this cane to go with a Victorian-style costume that I wore to attend a “Dickens-themed” Christmas event, though I admit that the chronology is a bit off for that and it's more of an art-deco, 20's-30's style of Egyptian revivalism. It's supposed to be reminiscent of a scarab wing; whether I got there or not is up for debate, but I thought it came out looking kind of cool.
This fit on a 1-inch dowel pretty well, and a tight press-fit made me confident that there was no need for glue or anything. I do NOT recommend using this for actual load-bearing purposes, though I did put a pretty significant amount of my pretty significant weight on it without issue. The tip basically just has a grip pattern for show, as printing this in hard plastic will make this too slick (though TPU might have a chance…but why bother? This isn't meant to be used as an actual cane, remember?).
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
