I've seen several fun gift boxes online and wanted to take a crack at making my own.

To release the lid, slide the side ribbons up.  They compress the spring latch and the lid can lift straight up.

I printed this at a layer height of 0.2mm out of PrusamentPLA for dimensional accuracy.

The spring latches were a bit snug, but I sprayed a little silicone into the gaps and it now moves very smoothly.  Dry lube or graphite also work well.

The moving side ribbons snap into their tracks from below.  The Bow and Top ribbons are attached with superglue.

FULL DISCLOSER: It required a little post processing.  I printed with very minimal supports and I had to take a small file to some of the inside corners of the ribbons, and inside the latch receiver slots in the sides of the box.  It didn't take much fine tuning, but I can't claim this model is perfect straight off of the build plate.  Even so, I'm pretty happy with the results.

Update:  I've add an Opener Plate.  Set the box on the plate, press down, and the plate will push up all 4 ribbons releasing the lid.  0.2mm layer height with a 0.4 nozzle works for this as well.
