We had a lot of stuff in drawers that were kept in boxes and could have just been hung on a rod to save space. For this, we needed a mount to hold the wooden rod that spanned the width of the drawer. It needed to be something that didn't need to use screws as that would damage the drawers. So I made this rod holder that could just hang over the sides of the drawers and it turned out beautifully!
The drawer side has a thickness of 11 mm, so the top part of the clip is 12 mm wide and provides a snug fit. The height of the inside part of the clip itself is 50 mm to allow rods to be deep within the drawers so that objects that are placed on them can be up to 50 mm tall.
This has been designed to be used quite often so the rod will be picked up, items chosen for wearing and then the rod is put back on the clip, so the curved part of the clip that holds the rod needed to be wide enough so that one isn't required to be carefully hunting to place it back properly on the curved part. So the curve is extra large with 10mm width.
I printed this in PLA, on a Neptune 4 Plus. I haven't strength tested it or anything, but about 50 bangles currently rest on this comfortably and have freed up the space below for other stuff to be stored. Make sure to print supports (everywhere, over 45 degrees) as the curved part requires it.
Let me know if you found this as useful as we did. Cheers!
