I prefer wooden handles to printed ones. Thus, I designed a template to create a handle out of wood using a router and a guild template (copy ring).

The included STL is meant to be used with a 17mm guide template and a 8mm cutting bit. However, I've also included the FreeCAD file that allows to parameterize the template for different guide template and cutting bit diameters. See the attached screenshot.

Depending on your guild template properties, you might want to make the template thicker than 6mm. The FreeCAD files has a parameter for this as well. Alternatively, use a trimming cutter with ball bearing to transfer the template to wood with an appropriate thickness.

Printed in PLA with 0.3mm layer height, 4 perimeters, no top perimeter. Text added with Prusa Slicer.
