Description

PDF

This vase was formed by creating a a sphere with a hollowed out portion.  That was repeated many times in a circular pattern.  Then it was duplicated and shifted 12º so the circular portions nestled between each other.  Then I duplicated the pair of rings three times vertically.  To form the top and bottom I extruded with an 18º angle.  The angle is negative for the top and positive for the bottom.

There are some thin/nearly horizontal points inside that technically do not work for a vase, but they are small enough that the print succeeds anyway.

It was printed using my spool rotator (https://www.printables.com/model/523118-spool-rotator) using Eryone tri-color co-extruded filament.  The colors progress as a spiral around the vase - there is only one continuous stripe of each color.
