These pieces allow you to build a garden bed cover using nothing but straight cut timber. No angles to worry about as the printed parts deal with all the complexity. It also includes a hinge so you can lift it from one side.

This design uses:

  • 42 x 22mm timber (I used treated pine)
  • Some 8g x 25mm stitching screws
  • A length of 14x4mm cable feeding tape
  • Some netting
  • Staples to hold the net in place

Dimensions I used for each triangle end piece of a 600mm wide garden bed are 516mm length for the base and 457mm for the sides.

Maths: If you want to scale up the design, then use

  • For the base length of timber = Total width of garden bed - 84mm
  • For the side pieces = (Total Width of garden bed * 0.86) - 59mm

I printed in PETG.
