Printed with supports in the handle using a support enforcer.
No other supports should be necessary.
I printed in PETG for extra strength and resistance to heat since this may be left in a car on a hot summer day. Make sure you are printing this with a filament that can withstand the heat for your situation. If you live in an area that gets really hot and you leave this in your car it can melt if you just use regular PLA. You don't want a hot cup of coffee wrapped by a soft holder.
I also added an modifier in my slicer software to give the risers of the handles (side parts) a 30% infill instead of 15%.
You can quickly see if this is going to fit your favorite cup if you measure the diameter of your cup and compare it to 81mm or ~3.18". If your cup is skinnier than that it's going to go right through.
Gcode provided with the supports and modifier i used.
I will take requests to provide alternate sizes. If you want me to consider this provide this info. I will also likely only do this if i get a few so I can batch them together into a small set of alternate model(s).
ALTERNATE CUP SIZES
Measure your cup's diameter at the top portion. If it's greater than 81mm then tell me what it is 2.5" down the cup. Also tell me what brand cup (Tim Horton's; Solo; etc) it is so i can indicate that in the description for others.
ALTERNATE CAR CUP-HOLDER DISTANCES
This is meant to fit a car cup holder that is 105mm from center to center of the cup-holders. If yours is different, Tell me in the comments what the diameter is from center to center of the cups. Be very precise. Also tell me what make/model your car is so i can update that in the description.
It may go without saying but make sure that you check the lid in the store. Sometimes my experience has been the person making your coffee does a lousy job of securing it properly. Also Sometimes they fill the cup to the maximum height causing it to drip or spill. Use common sense.
Also when you get to your car, put the cups in the car cupholders. The HOT2Handle is designed to fit some in-car cupholders. If it doesn't fit your car, remove them and put them in secure cupholders. Make sure you are moving in the car safely with your coffee. The cupholder is not designed to hold the coffee in a secure position while your car is moving without the cupholder.
Be careful not to smash the cupholder into your leg while walking.
A 4 Cup version of this has been created. This was a common request I received.
