Pretty big update. Abandoned a lot of the previous Ideas. integrated a filament sensor above the cutter. I have everything printed and assembled on a mock hotend but have not tested or installed it on the printer. You'll need M2 and M3 heat inserts and screws. For the screws, I suggest just having an assortment on hand. 5mm rod cut to 5mm length and a D2F form factor switch. Everything is designed using standard Voron and XOL BOM hardware.
My take on a filament cutter for the XOL print head. This is based on the newer XOL files. More information to follow. It's a work in progress. You'll need a 6mm x 30-50mm spring. I cut the spring to get a decent return tension. I don't know about the hardware yet but the goal is to keep it in line with the Xol BOM.
The author remixed this model.
There are two cutters in the attached file, one is pretty much the original but the version I've been working on is original work.
