This is an alternative d4 that deviates from the standard triangular pyramid design and uses a 3d kite-shaped diamond instead (or two square pyramids bottom to bottom if you prefer).
This design is usually easier to read than a standard d4 since each side has only one number. The numbers can also be bigger as well and it tends to actually roll instead of just land on one side and stop.
Build Tips
I've printed this with both PLA and PETG, and I've found that using a tougher material (e.g. Touch PLA, PETG) at a higher temp with slower print speeds seems to yield the best result.
My most successful print was with PETG, at around 230C-240C on the extruder, 80C bed, and a print speed of around 40 mm/s, 25 mm/s for initial layer. (This has been successful for a lot of prints I use).
Increasing the infill will make it a little more solid and weighty, but will increase print time. I found 20-40% infill was okay, but your mileage may vary.
