The J-Pole antenna 3-D printed parts are comprised of the Bottom Cap (Hub) , Bottom Cap Lid and the End (Top) Cap. These parts are used with the plastic pipe which houses the ribbon-cable made J-Pole antenna. The parts are designed for the plastic water pipe of the outer diameter 32mm on the top end and the same 32mm of the INNER diameter at the bottom end. The bottom end of the pipe is larger in outer diameter and contains the rubber insert. This insert insulates the Hub's sleeve well.
The Hub hosts the SO-239 socket. I made the mounting hole universal in a way that any type of the socket could be accommodated. If you use (as I do) the model with the mounting flanges and 4 bolts, you need to drill the 4 holes in the Hub's body yourself. I've noticed the different makes of the flange sockets have slightly different dimensions, so it could happen that the pre-printed holes are not aligned with the real socket. If you use the non-flange type of the socket, the mounting hole should be OK too, no drilling required.
The parts printed on the Prusa-Mini printer. I used the PLA material but if you plan to use the antenna for permanent installation outdoorsy, the UV-resistant filament , like PET-G should be used.
You may find more information on this antenna in my YT video here:
Hope, this project will be useful for you!
