Here we have yet another phone stand. While this design is inspired by the most popular stands, I have a Google Pixel XL and have issues with many other phone stand designs out there. I wanted to create a stand that was stable with my larger, heavier phone, and I wanted a stand that fit the phone both with and without its case (Otterbox Defender).
I have attached two versions of the stand, one with a charge cable cutout, and one without. While the solid model prints without supports, I have found the stand with the charge cable cutout still uses less material even while requiring support. Add in the convenience of charging your phone while it's on the stand, and you have yourself a winner.
The above example was sliced with an “Extra-Fast” Cura profile, printed at .28mm layer thickness, 15% infill, and with treed supports. You could get even better detail with a standard 0.2mm layer height but this worked fine for me and printed in just under an hour and a half.
The “Extra-Fast” Cura slice gcode file is also included in print files if so desired.
I also have an idea for a printed stand that supports wireless charging, so if that is something you would be interested in, please reach out and let me know!
