Since I found the Dino Ladle STL, I've been pretty obsessed with trying to improve the design since it would fall over when empty. This is my take on the design. I've not printed it yet because I'm currently quite occupied with orders. I will print this soon and update you guys again the results.
UPDATE:
I have printed this out and the size met my expectations (250mm tall). The original dino ladle had the neck slightly flimsy and would flex ever so slightly when there was any content in the bowl. I have made the neck to be thicker to reinforce it plus a thumb rest useful when pouring soup or gravy for greater control.
The legs are thicccer than the original design so it can stand even when empty. I've pushed the neck towards the back also to push the center of mass slightly to the center to allow this "most important feature" of the ladle 🤣. It does however get in the way when the soup or gravy level is low, most notably below the leg height. The most important thing is the standing-up feature. Only that counts right??? 🤣
DESIGNER'S NOTE:
I edited this directly off Bambu Studio/ Orca Slicer (they're similar) without using any external 3D software to test out and learn the features of the slicer itself. I think it turned out fine albeit requiring some smoothing or more polygons to the shapes to make the design more appealing. All in all, I believe I achieved the objective and am happy with how the print came out.
In the meantime, appreciate some support with a little contribution, and do have a look at my other designs as well should they meet your requirements.
Hope you have fun with this design and impress your other half as well 😂
The author remixed this model.
I'm not sure if this is considered as a remix or otherwise. I used orca slicer to model the item from scratch, however the original idea I'm crediting @SavageRodent
