Weighted Base for 3DConnexions SpaceMouse (Compact, Corded)

This is a weighted base to hold the 3DConnexions SpaceMouse (Compact, Corded) firmly in place while you are working with it. It has a slot to press the cord into. It works great.

This has a round hole that fits only the corded SpaceMouse. The battery-operated SpaceMouse has a squarish base and won't fit, however, no reason you can't modify the model.

You only need about 10% infill, then fill the two reservoirs on the underside with fishing weights and epoxy resin (see photo). After that, you can add stick-on rubber feet to really grip the desktop.

I printed this with the underside that has the two reservoirs flat on the print platform, and I used organic supports in the reservoirs which were pretty easy to remove. This left the top clean and clear.

You want to really press the cord hard into the slot.
