Update: 26.05.24 - Remodelled top mount a little to add strength. It's slightly thicker now and  I added small fillet (see picture below) to eliminate weak point.  All three models have been updated. Enjoy!

This adapter is the result of the evolution of the mount I started developing first with strap version adapter and then DIY mounted adapter which led to this final standalone solution. I want to credit here @4foxess, @Bonsaizocker, @Soulnight and other ETT community members for helping with this project.

It's a simple one piece lightweight print with no need for supports which should provide easy, and quick way to install/deinstall controller with just one screw. It is designed with 6mm blade surface to allow use of regular TT rubber for excellent grip and feel.

Choose one of the provided handle styles you like: FL - flared, ST - straight, AN - anatomic.

You need to remove battery cover to use it!

For position config use the following cloud code: 262.56

For left-handed adapter use the following: 262.63

What is required to use this model:

  • printed adapter
  • 1 x M3 thumb screw at least 12-14mm long DIN464 or DIN653 (regular M3 screw will also work but you will need screwdriver to install every time)
  • 1 x M3 nut
  • 1 x sheet of TT rubber (any used or cheapest rubber will be fine, its just for grip)
  • double sided tape (I suggest super thin one like M3 467MP) or glue (superglue is fine but it will get messy if you plan swapping rubber in the future)
  • optional: rubber/double sided tape cutting template (included in files) edit: Since both sides of the adapter are tiny bit different I included also template for the other side for completeness.

Instruction:

  1. Printing:

Print adapter in upright position with at least 0.2 layer height for perfect fit and surface quality. If your bed has issues with sticking, use brim to ensure print will not detach. I also suggest slowing down.

Suggestion how I printed it: Print with 3 perimeter and 15% infill (gyroid). Lower infill to 6% with layer height modifier after around 50mm. This way mount part will remain stronger and at the same time the rest of the adapter will be lighter.

               2. Rubber cutting: Use printed template to outline the rubber shape on the double sided tape and rubber and cut these to shape.

               3. Stick rubber to adapter with tape/glue. Done!

               4. Optionally you can mount the nut permanently in the adapter with small drop of glue but make sure to not spill glue on the nut's thread.

Modifications:

  • Split Handle - in case you want to print the handle using different material like wood PLA/lightweight PLA.
  • Cyber blade - If you looking for fancy new square-ish blade shape
  • Lightweight - If you're looking to lower the weight and centre of mass as much as possible.
