Design Solder Roll Stand

This stand is designed to carry rolls of solder, wick or wire ready for use near the soldering station. It solves the problem of unwinding solder from a roll that is placed sideways on the desk. 

Here is what you need to assemble this item:

• DIN 464 thumb screw M4x10
• A rod of 9mm diameter in aluminum or brass, 101mm length, with M4 thread in one end
• Alternatively, you can print the rod and use CNC Kitchens threaded inserts to fit a thread

Printing:

• Place the body on its back like shown in this screenshot.

• Use any filament (PETG, PLA, PC-CF…) except PA (nylon) as there is some tension introduced by the rod and nylon will yield and bend over time. 
• Optionally, print 4 small cylinders in 4x4mm from a rubber-like filament such as Fiberlogy 30D as feet and insert them into the body base after print.
