After months of my boys asking to play with my fragile (and sharp) 3D printed dragon skull [link to model], I decided to design something more kid-friendly. Designed with my own 2yo and 4yo boys in mind, I sculpted the horns and spikes of this dragon skull with dull, rounded tips so that nobody gets “poked”.

It's an easy print but will need some minimal supports. I recommend printing with the nose angled down (but not fully up-and-down) toward the build plate. I've seen good results with painting some light organic supports at the nose and base of the skull.

The prints you see photographed here are 120mm long, printed in PETG Lipstick Red and PLA Azure Blue at .1mm layer height on Prusa i3 MK3S+.

Might make good stocking stuffers this Christmas season. Enjoy!
