UPDATE: After using the original spacers for a while I made an update. The drywall behind the trim was high enough that the spacer would fit under the drywall and thus the laminate not be 1/4th of an inch spaced. The updated design has a lip that sits flush against the drywall to prevent the spacer from tipping back under it and maintains the gap I wanted. If you need more or less of a gap the fusion 360 files are attached, just edit the sketch to a different thickness and re extrude.

This is a spacer designed to keep laminate flooring from getting too close to the wall.

I'm in the middle of a giant project in which I need to keep the flooring 1/4 inch away from the wall to allow for expansion and contraction.

The spacers that came with the flooring are TERRIBLE, they keep moving around and slipping under the wood. I've thrown quite a few of them across the room.

This design keeps the flooring 1/4 inch away from the wall but also has an L shape which keeps it in place much better.
