I designed this TPU protector for the Happymodel Mobula8 O3 since I kept breaking ND and UV filters with the whole camera assembly completely exposed. This design not only helps protect your camera lens but also helps protect both vertical and horizontally mounted lens filters on any frame without stand-offs or a camera cage. It uses the O3's 4 side mounting holes to attach the lens protector in place with a snug fit to the O3 camera. This model adds 0.4mm to the two mounting sides of the O3 for minimal camera frame deflection and may require slightly longer mounting screws to hold everything in place. This print only adds ~3.7g of weight, yet adds way more protection against crashes!
On a Mobula8 you'll need 2-4 M2x6mm screws with optional washers. (I only use the 2 bottom mounting holes on the camera body)
Print facing down with supports, 0.4mm nozzle, 5 perimeters or 100% infill
Optional prints: Spacers and Crossfire antenna mount
I feel like adding the spacers helped with reducing vibrations that were transferred through the frame to the upper VTX mount assembly. You could use O-rings instead but we own 3D printers! I used the longer Phillips head screws that came with the kit to install the spacers and antenna mount. Print with 1-2 perimeters and 0-12% infill - thin walls and a hollow center ring, you want these spacers to flex.
For frame repairs & mounting of the CRSF antenna, I use “Homax 730657 Professional Welder Adhesive”. It's as strong as super glue, but still flexible.
