Update: 13.05.2024 - Modified the top part of the mount slightly to add strength as seen on below picture. The top pic is before bottom is after. I also updated 6.6mm ad 8mm models.

Update: 24.03.2024 - How to video guide by Bonsaizocker!

Update: 31.12.23 Added remix with version for 8mm thick blades.

Update: 30.01.23 New and improved paddle cutting template. It should allow to mark your paddle for cutting at any chosen distance between 0 and 25mm from the handle. Use side indicators to keep things level.

Update: 28.01.23 I've added small fillet to help eliminate weak point and make it difficult to break from overtightening.

Update: 23.12.23 I've added version for thicker blades, check remixed uploads for 6.6mm gap version

Update: 20.12.23 - I've added printable template to help cut the wooden paddle to suggested position. Still if you're not happy and think its too low on the paddle you can raise it up a bit and cut to any height you want. This position is the same as on my v2.0 adapter

This is version v2.0 of the model I posted a while ago. This version includes several upgrades out of which the most important being slightly changed controller's orientation which should provide even better tracking.

For those wanting to just swap the old one and reuse the paddle unfortunately holes will not match. It is also suggested to use new elavated 20 degree cut (see picture below). Repositioning the mount this way will also result in improved tracking (should you experience any problems with v1.0 that is). If you had perfect experience with v1.0 you will probably not notice any difference and upgrade is not necessary. This update is targeted for those who had issues and used perticular techinque when playing backhand.

This adapter will allow use of real life paddle in virtual reality table tennis games like Eleven Table Tennis. Adapter weights around 15 grams and its made for 5.8-6 mm thick blade.

Print with PLA/PETG at lease with 0.2mm for best fit and in position as on picture below without any supports.

To build the paddle you will need:

Things you will need:

  1. Table Tennis paddle, ideally some you will no longer use as you will have to cut it to shape.
  2. Printed adater
  3. 1 x DIN653 Thumb Screw M3 (length 12-14mm) Link Aliexpress
  4. 3 x M3 countersunk head screws (length 12-14mm) Link Aliexpress
  5. 4 x M3 nuts Link Aliexpress
  6. Optional printed cutting template (included in files)
  7. Tools like saw and drill with 3mm drill bit. You can use wood glue to aditionally strengthen the connection.
  8. You can reuse old rubber or cut and appy new one (You may need rubber glue!)

Instruction (basic), for more detailed tutorial please click here (credits: @Bonsaizocker)

  1. Use attached template to cut paddle to required shape. You will need to make minimum two straight cuts following the line. Its best to use template to make correct angles for best and tight fit. Ideally it would also best to round sharp corners for best experience.

   2.  Use adapter to mark 3 holes which needs to drilled with 3mm drill. Drill holes!

 3. Install adpter and screw in everything.

4. Cut rubber to shape and apply. Done!
