Printing and coloring
This part is very easy to print. No supports or brim is needed. The material is not critical. I have printed mine from PETG orange (the KTM brand color) from DasFilament.de. Also the infill is not critical, I recommend 100% anyway for this tiny part.
You can either introduce a color change in your print and print the top layers in black, or you can use a black pen and post-color the upper surface.
The left one in the picture with the key is multi-color printed, the right one is post-colored. For long term durability, the mulit-color print is probably the better solution.
Update
A couple of days ago this part broke at the little hole, when I turned the key to switch of the engine of my bike. I have now created a new version, that should not have the same weak point. That is the file with the “stronger” at the end of the file name.
Disclaimer
This is not an original KTM product. I am not associated with KTM (other than that I own a motorbike that they produced). This part is free-hand drawn and not a copy of a commercial product.
