When restoring old Tefifon units I found it very difficult to work on the chassis without damaging delicate parts. So I designed this simply mounting rack.
Simply print the 4 corners (PETG, 0.3mm layer height), get a 301mm x 193mm plate and mount the corners with 12 pcs 3mm … 3,5mm countersunk screws. The outermost screws must be mounted at a distance of 250mm / 140mm to exactly match the size of the device:
Now you can put the rack on to of the Tefifon and flip it upside-down:
So you can work on the underside of the device without any worries:
In the most current version of the design it also can be used to just hold the top part of the Tefifon (the chassis):
And you then can even flip this part and there is enough space for the motor underneath:
Since the rack is now frequently in use, I have embellished and waxed the plate. I also bolted rubber feet in original Tefifon design to the bottom:
The corners have been designed using OpenSCAD. I have provided the source code for download, so you can adjust the design to your needs.
