Extentioncord house

Most of the outlets in my living room are blocked by furniture. So I made an extension cord that's not an eyesore.

I wanted an extension cord that could be left out in the open without being an eyesore.

It's made for Danish outlets, but with a little work I guess it could be made to work with other countries outlets. I don't have any information about the legality in other countries. But as always, take care when working with mains power and proceed with this project at your own risk!

Needed material:

  • Fuga Indmurings dåse (Wallbox for immurement).
  • LK stikkontakt 2 modul vandret.
  • LK Fuga Baseline 50 ramme 2 modul.
  • AC power plug.
  • 1.5mm2 solid copper wire.
  • 2 x double wire connectors (Dobbelt samlemuffe).
  • 3x0.75mm2 soft cable (I used fabric covered cable).
  • Shrink flex (To neatly terminate the fabric end of the cable).
  • Soft filt pads, for underneath the finished concrete block. To protect the floor from being ruined.
  • Cement
  • 4 x 14 cm m6 threaded rods.
  • 8 x m6 nuts.
  • Mold release agent.

The cable corridor is far from perfect and will need some force to put into place.
When the cast is done, the part protruding from the back can be carefully drilled out to make way for the cable.

For Danes - Disclamer/Vigtig information:
Dette er selvfølgelig ikke et lovligt produkt. Da det bruger el-materiel på en ikke godkendt måde. Hvis man bruger stikkontakt med jordben skal denne selvfølgelig også tilsluttes jord.
Yderligere er det vigtigt at man ikke samler blød og hård ledning i samme samlemuffe, medmindre det er en dobbelt muffe, med hver type ledning i egen terminal.

Udførelse af dette projekt gøres på eget ansvar!
