Update 8-21-24:

I finally have my enclosure built. I still need to add a couple of magnets for the door and add some lights inside, but it's finally built.

Update 2-22-24:

I uploaded a 3" variant of the side support and middle brace.

I have recently had to put my own enclosure on hold while I've been dealing with some personal things IRL. Hopfully I can get to finishing it soon.

I love seeing some of the completed enclosures. Thanks for all the feedback!

Update 1-27-24:

I made a Handle!

Update 1-26-24:

I uploaded two new .stl files, “Side_Brace” and “Middle_Brace”. These are to be used on the top of the enclosure for those of you who want some extra support for the top panel.

I think today I will have completed printing the final parts to complete my own enclosure. Finally a finished enclosure coming soon!

Update 1-8-24:

Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who has downloaded and liked my project. I enjoy seeing the makes and feedback with everything.

I added a 3" length of the side and middle side sections.

I still need to make a handle for the door.

I recently had some issues with my printer and had to stop printnig parts for my own enclosure. Everything should be good now and will be starting “production” back up tonight.

Update 12-31-2023:

I finally got enough parts printed to complete one side and uploaded a picture. Sorry I didn't have any build process for this.

The plastic panel I used was purchased online here:

https://buyplastic.com/expanded-pvc-plastic-sheet/

I cut it to size using a circular saw with a 60 tooth carbide to blade. I found some similar plastic panels at my local Lowe's store that would also work for this:

Update 12-30-2023:

I have updated the Corner and Corner_Middle models to include a spot for a 12mmx2mm magnet. I have also uploaded all of the Fusion 360 files for this project. It was suggested that I make a handle for a door, I will either make one in the near future or find one I like from another creator.

Update 12-22-2023:

As requested, I have made longer side sections for those of you who have larger printers. Side lengths are 6", 12", and 18".

Update 12-21-2023:

I have updates the Side pieces to include more holes for mounting the hinges or attaching side panels. I have also made an upper hinge piece that can accept a ¼" panel, the original one was designed to fit a 1/8" panel (both are available). I have also added models to be able to make a “stacked” enclosure. I have not printed these pieces yet, but they seem to fit correctly in Fusion 360.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Side pieces are in 6", 12", and 18" lengths.

The one picture showing an assembled frame is 30" tall, 24" wide, and 24" deep. That consists of 8 corner peices, 1 side peice with a power pass through, and 39 side peices. You can make any size enclosure to fit your needs.

Printing:

I am currently using an Elegoo Neptune 3, the grey prototype parts were printed in SUNLU PETG. Tweaking the default “Extra Fast” settings from the Cura slicer (not the Elegoo version), I set the wall count to 4. The infill (honeycomb pattern) settings are set to 50% for the larger parts and 80% for the connector and hinge parts.

Assembly:

I designed this to use one screw type, Teks #8 x ¾" Sharp Point Lath Screw (pictured). The lower hinge needs a 1-¼" length.

The hinge pin is a 5mm x 40mm steel pin purchased from Amazon.

The side panels will have a ¼" recess in the enclosure frame. The side panels can be made from whatever you want them to be, you will just need to measure the finished enclosure and cut them to fit.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a quick video showing parts I currently have printed and some assembally:

A more detailed video will be made once I have enough parts printed and can fully assemable my enclosure.

Thank you for your interesting my project. If you have any requests or suggestions, please comment and I will follow up with you.
