Very nice! For a single extruder, this is the solution to printing the letters. Thanks for sharing!

Printed with ironing and a .25 nozzle. Most letters came out really well, but some of them had some bridging between the serifs.

That’s a great picture!!
My only objection is that this font is not optimal for 3D printing because it is too thin.
I increased the height of the pads and the letters a bit and used ironing on the pads.

I agree, the font isn't great; unfortunately it is (was?) the only one available in Onshape!
Some patience is needed to glue everything together, but it turned out great.
I first printed the letter wheels in the same wood filament as the other cryptex parts. But the glue did dissolve the color and leaked thru the letter plates. I recommend to do some glue tests before printing everything.
In the end I printed the rings in the PETG, which is more glue resistant. (edited)

Great solution for making the rings. Thanks for sharing.
Printed with 0.4 nozzle and Prusament PLA (edited)

Went with scaling to 99%, I kept the Z-scaling normal. Printed with 0.1 Layer height and added a pause after the 5th layer. Worked fine for me with glue. (edited)

Thank you for the idea! Prints nicely with a 0.4 nozzle.I printed at 0.2mm layer height, all perimeters to get the pattern, and increased Z to let the letters stand out more.

@freeerror_513542 that's a really cool picture!
