I designed this airbrush stand to fit into my workspace, following my design style and passion for hexagonal shapes.
As I have a Harder & Steenbeck Evolution Silverline airbrush, this stand is designed to match the shape and fit of this model. However, it should also fit all other similarly shaped airbrushes. It doesn't cost much to try it out.
Please read my print settings recommendations below.
Your opinion on this design and suggestions to improve it is highly appreciated!
I have published a remix incorporating two holes for M5 screws, including a step and an f3d file of a template adapter plate. If desired, you can experiment with it and design, e.g., a desk clamping system for the airbrush stand.
Just head over to the adapter plate remix site!
It doesn't take much to print this model.
I used five solid bottom and four solid top layers to give the stand a good weight. You can also achieve it using a denser infill, but the weight will distribute over the entire object.
Three perimeters are also enough for good perimeter adhesion, especially at negative slopes. However, because I follow a hexagonal style, no slope is below a 60-degree angle (with 0 degrees would be horizontal).
There are some small bridging sections, so turn on your bridging detection and lower the speed. I use slow 20mm/s for bridging parts with the fan blowing at 100% speed.
One more thing: in Prusa Slicer, you can set the seam position to "rear." Make sure the stand is oriented on the print bed accordingly, and you will get a nearly invisible but nice seam line.
Happy printing,
Martin
