Stocking hanger mantle hook

I wanted a non-adhesive, non destructive way to hang stocking from my mantle.

Threw together this design to achieve that.

I added a thin strip of leather I had laying around to the underside of the top arm; this helps for a snug fit and stops it from slipping and damaging the finish.  

It works and was tested with 10lbs of weight without this optional addition however.

The thickness of my mantle is 37mm (approx 1 ½ inch)
