The Lilygo T-Echo Meshtastic communicator, https://www.lilygo.cc/products/t-echo, comes in a case but all three important buttons are exposed to being accidentally pressed. This bracket protects the device from such accidental button presses and provides a carabiner mount:
- The touch-sensitive button is enclosed from four directions.
- The two system buttons are protected by a 2mm raised gate.
- The top of the bracket provides a carabiner mount to fix it to backpacks or hang it in your tent or at your campsite.
- The antenna cutout is compatible with both the original T-Echo antenna as well as several other antennas I tested.
Printing the bracket:
- Print with the flat side down.
- Use supports for the carabiner mount.
- Supports for the M3 holes is optional; if printed with supports, use an M3 screw to push them out from the other side.
- Layer height: I printed this in 0.2mm.
- Any material is fine, but for outdoor use materials such as ABS or ASA may be preferable.
Mounting the bracket:
- Use two M3x10mm screws to mount the bracket to the M3 holes at the back of the T-Echo device.
I also include the FreeCAD file used to create this design.
