I've been working/designing a 3d printer cart which places my filament not next to my printer. I wanted to create a bowden tube coupling which would allow me to disconnect from the main filament source and work on my printer. I also wanted the filament to come fairly centrally on my Ender3.

This is a simple design that uses M6 fittings for Capricorn PTFE bowden tubing.  It is designed to mount to any 2020 class extrusion with m5 screws and captive nuts. I've added the Fusion360 model if you'd like to modify the part in any way.

Print Settings (very flexible)

  • ABS/ASA (or PETG) for temperature resistance
  • 0.6mm nozzle
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • printed on its side for optimal strength of the threads and to ensure the filament path is as acurate as possible

The model is fairly simple, but if you have any questions reach out!
