Modular Bauble

Happy Christmas/Holidays everyone!

A simple modular bauble design to bring some extra colour and customization to your tree!

My Design Considerations

• Create something customizable and interactive.
• Reduce waste when multi colour printing. 
• Make multi coloured designs available to a wide variety of machines.
• Find an excuse to use my filament collection ;)

I recommend using the following settings to prevent your tree branches bending. (The aim is to reduce the weight of the bauble as much as possible)

Print Settings - Core & Segment

• 0.2 Layer Height
• Wall Loops: 1
• Infill: 10%
• Infill Pattern: Lightning
• Brim Auto
• No supports need

Notes & Considerations

Some PLA can be brittle. If you want to interchange segments regularly use 2 wall loops for reliability. As some might split during removal. (Most PLAs are fine at 1 wall)

Best way to remove segments

Press down from the very top corner with both thumbs. If they need a helping hand for the first few times you clip them in, press your finger nail between the core and the tab side of the segment.
