Simple, quick, reliable, non-invasive protection for your Mk4 bed cable.
During my time with a Mk3, the heat bed cable was always protected from undue flexing due to sag by INeedOneDesigns excellent MK3 Heatbed Cable Support (Easy Clip On). The Mk4 requires a bespoke designed version, the original for the mk3 only slid on, but the Mk4 has four protruding 3mm bolt threads on the underside of the heatbed connection. The rear pair can be used as a clip-on point to hold the cable support in place without the need for a cable-tie (which would just generate an alternative point of focussed cable damage over time).
Note the position of the support on the connector in the pics, if it hasn't pushed on this far then it hasn't engaged with the bolt threads. Support the connector as you do this by placing thumbs on the front face when you push. Don't flex the connector or its mounting point on the print bed.
Don't print with a brim, it interferes with getting clean cut-outs for the bolt heads. Gyroid infill @ 25% and 3 perimeters should be more than enough for the load. Paint on enforcers create support for the top lugs (all included within the g / bg code). Support needs to be fully and cleanly removed for the snap-on to work.
The author remixed this model.
Re-design and re-sizing for Mk4 heatbed connector, but follows the same the principles and (like the original) avoids a cable tie (to secure) and so avoids a restricted bend point on the cable. unlike the mk3 original, this mk4 version actively clips-on to available protruding threads, rather than the (mk3) originals passive slide-on design.
