- 2023-12-10 - Uploaded versions with stronger clips. I'm leaving the original up because it's a bit easier to remove the lids with them, but you may want to try the stronger clips if your filament doesn't have good layer adhesion.
Silica Box Clip
This is a remix that adds a locking tab to ensure that the clip securely engages the silica box. It also has a looser tolerance in the clip's slot so that the box clips in more reliably.
Print the clip on its side for maximum strength. It will help prevent the sides from snapping when they are bent.
Silica Box Lid
I remixed this part to ensure that I don't accidentally dump silica gel all over my floor. It is designed to work as an upgrade to the original silica gel box v3, so you only need to print this lid.
There are two versions of this. One of them has stronger clips that are less likely to break, but they make the lid a bit tougher to remove.
Hydrometer Mount
This part was designed in order to allow the hydrometer to clip in and be easily removed for battery changes. The model is fully parameterized allowing for a user-defined viewing angle and differently sized hydrometers.
In Fusion360, select MODIFY > Change Parameters. From here you can edit the parameters for the size of your hydrometer and set the display angle of the mount. The minimum display angle is 1 deg.
I print these mounts on their side for maximum clip strength and use organic supports on the build plate only.

Differences of the remix compared to the original
Silica Box Clip
- Loosened the tolerances of the slot in the clip so that the box tab easily fits.
- Added a locking tab to the clip in order to securely fasten the silica box.
- Filled in the large hole so that mounting tape can be used to affix the clip to the dry box lid.

Hydrometer Mount
An original parametric design with a customizable viewing angle. The basic dimensions of the mount can be modified so that it fits a variety of hydrometers. See the description for more details.
