As Eric said: This is a simple cover for behind the xLCD screen of your MK4 printer.

However, the main model has one major flaw, which is the off-center alignment as the xLCD is not mounted symmetrically. With this remix I adjusted the left and right spacing to match the xLCD positioning. Additionally it is specifically designed to be printed upright instead of flat on the bed to show a beautifully layered texture instead of the smooth or textured finish of the build plate. This way the layered appearance of the xLCD cover itself is extended to the frame. I guess it is a matter of taste. If you prefer, the model still prints fine flat on the bed as well.

For printing I recommend the 0.2mm SPEED profile with 15% infill as per the default settings. When printing upright the print takes around 12 minutes.

To install this cover slightly loosen the four M3 bolts in the frame holding the xLCD assembly in place. Slide in the support cover. It should fall right into place. Tighten the bolts again for a perfect press fit. Enjoy the new clean look of your MK4!

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This remix mainly fixes the off-center alignment of the original model. Additionally it is specifically designed to be printed upright instead of flat on the bed for a visible layer structure instead of the either smooth or textured finish of the build plate.
