This is a remix of Printin'Monkey's Mario Christmas Tree Star that allows for easier assembly. I liked the look of his model, but I saw that some of the comments mentioned difficult assembly due to the thin walls. I fully understand the need for a thin wall to let the most light through, but I do not think with my hand-eye coordination limitations I would be able to complete the assembly. I edited the model to increase the edges to make assembly much easier. In fact, now every piece can fit together without the need for glue. These make a great tree topper or a standalone decoration with or without lights on the inside.
For the shell part, I added a bevel to the base of the wall to decrease the likelihood of the walls separating from the face. I also thickened the face from 1mm to 2mm. To eliminate the need for the post part, I thickened the hole on the bottom of the star and made it slightly larger.
For the face part, I added a bevel to the base of the wall to decrease the likelihood of the walls separating. I also increased the wall height to 5mm with four small sections being 10 mm in height to hold the parts together. I also eliminated the walls at the bottom of the star. I added a small groove on a few sides to make separating the two parts easier if I ever need to do that. I also thickened the face from 1mm to 2mm.
For the eyes part, I increased the thickness of the visible portion of the eye to 2 mm. The unseen portion of the eyes are 3 mm in height. Of this, the first 2mm match the depth of the eyeholes on the face and the shell and the last 1mm has a bevel that allows the eyes to be held tightly by the eyeholes. Since the model is still relatively thin, I would recommend supporting both sides of the plastic as you are pushing in the eyes while avoiding putting too much force on the walls.
