I have developed this cable duct to be able to pass various cables from the inside of my enclosure to the outside.

I knew from previous experience that by drilling a larger hole, the hollow plate of IKEA LACK can become a subwoofer and produce low-frequency sounds when printing.

Even though the required hole is not big enough to cause this effect this time, I have developed the feed-through in such a way that the effect is still avoided.

The feed-through is also large enough for power cables (IEC320C13).

The opposite pieces do not have to lie exactly on top of each other due to the design. This makes installation very easy, as we have to drill through two outer walls.

At the same time, odors are largely prevented from escaping from the housing.

Assembly:

  • (optional) Glue the ring into the base to ease overhead installation
  • Insert 2x M3 nuts
  • Drill a hole with ø ≥3cm, ø<4cm on each side of the plate
  • Mount the bases with 2 small countersunk head screws
  • Feed the cables through
  • Place the individual cables in the recess and screw on the cover
  • Do not use M3 screws that are too long so that the surface is not damaged and the base does not bend
  • Use an adhesive strip to mask off unused recesses if necessary
