Parametric IKEA SKÅDIS / UPPSPEL pegboard bins

Here is a simple parametric bin design for the Ikea SKÅDIS/UPPSPEL pegboards. By downloading the FreeCAD file named “Birdbrain_SKADIS_parametric_bin.FCStd”, then opening the spreadsheet called “params”, it is possible to adjust the dimensions of the bin and create a more custom bin layout and size. To export a custom size from the FreeCAD file, switch to “Mesh Design” workspace, highlight the last operation in the tree (should be “Chamfer001”) and then perform “Create Mesh From Shape” operation. Export the meshed part as .stl, slice, and print away. 

The width comes as multiples of 40mm (distance between two pegboard holes at the same height) plus 4mm on either side. 

The height is 58.5mm (minimum) or taller.

The depth is 14mm (minimum) or deeper/thicker.

The bin lays exactly against the pegboard, so the depth is measured from the pegboard surface. 

The hook design is not of my design and was copied instead from this model by Pavel.
