NOTE: model been working well for the last month, but broken the BLtouch adaptor a few times. it's too fragile and easily broken if you forget and move the X gantry by pressing on the BLtouch. Would recommend using someone elses BLtouch mount design while i get the time to beef up that individual part.

I've been looking for an extruder mount that supported either existing or future mods, which didn't seem to exist and there was always some conflict somewhere. Here's my contribution!

Please note that this is specific to the H2 V2S Revo which appears to be different than the normal H2 v2. The Revo appears to be slightly wider between the M3 mount holes and face of fan bracket. Since the Revo is wider, this bracket could probably be used with a shim to adapt to the non-Revo version.

my current usable bed size: 267x265

Design considerations

  • Use existing X carriage
  • Work with existing Linear Rail (vampyrex13)
  • Work with predy's MAD project (https://www.printables.com/model/146957-mad-modular-air-duct-for-biqu-h2-h2-v2s-revo-h2-v2)
  • Mount brackets for BLTouch & KUSBA
  • Additional holes along side KUSBA for future use. Spacing is 13.5mm.
  • low footprint - Didn't want to loose too much bed space due to fan duct designs.

Requirements

  • M3 Heatset inserts
  • Various length M3 screws to mount everything.
    • approx 10x M3 washers
    • 2x M3x6 (KUSBA module)
    • 2x M3x8 (KUSBA to E6 plate)
    • 4x M3x10 (2x E6 plate, 2x H2 Revo mount rear)
    • 2x M3x12 (H2 Revo bottom mount)
    • 2x M3x18 (BLTouch+Fan)
    • 1x M3 nut (upper rear fan hole - this JUST fits in the H2 fins)
    • 10x Heat-set insert nuts

BLTouch offset

  • X -39.0
  • Y: 0.0

Assembly

  1. Install heatset inserts to applicable locations (see E6 backplate photo with 10 heat set inserts fitted):
    • 2x in vertical BLTouch holes
    • 2x in vertical KUSAB (to mount KUSBA itself)
    • 2x in X-Carriage plate for KUSAB mount
    • 5x in X-Carriage plate for H2 adaptor
    • 3x in X-Carriage plate for additional use
  2. Install Ender 6 plate X-Carriage (green) to printers X carriage
  3. Install H2 to adaptor (red) - 2x fasteners from rear, 2x bottom & 2x fan side.
  4. (OPTIONAL) install BLTouch to bracket and secure to H2 Fan.
  5. Secure H2 Adaptor (red) to X-Carriage (green) with 5x m3x??
  6. (OPTIONAL) Install KUSBA bracket

Print Settings

0.20, 4 walls (for heatset inserts), 50%+ infill. Mine is printed in PCGT, but any filament should be ok depending on heat requirements.

Compatible with the following prints

Vampyrex13 Linear rail mod: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5215316

https://www.printables.com/model/146957-mad-modular-air-duct-for-biqu-h2-h2-v2s-revo-h2-v2

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4731935 Ender 6 CoreXY Cable Chain

Notes

Fan bracket purposely sticks out by 1mm on the top and bottom faces for added strength as 35mm tall had too thin walls and very easy to break the fan bracket.  It sits flush with the front face of the H2 to be compatible with other mods.

Changes

revo adaptor v1.1:

  • added a bulge for fan bracket to hopefully avoid it being too thin and potentially fail print.
  • increased the two E6 plate screw hole recesses on the Revo adaptor part to 10mm to account for washers.
