cable grommet

A simple, easy to print cable grommet, meant for European standard (metric system, plywood standard thickness)

• The mounting holes are meant for M3 Allen head bolts
• The mounting holes are on a circle of 56mm diameter, 120 degrees angle between each other
• The grommet should fit inside a 50mm hole, not including tolerance.
• The grommet have a 70mm outer diameter
• The grommet is meant to be mounted on a 5mm, 9mm, 15mm, 18mm, 21mm thick stock

Printing instructions

• The tube and the outer cap are printed together with no support. In your slicer, import the tube and the outer cap STL files.
• If your slicer recenter the outer cap using its bounding box, it will not be properly placed relative to the tube. Shift the outer cap by 5.625mm on the Y axis to center it perfectly relatively to the tube
• The inner cap is printed separately, no support required
• Snap fit the inner cap inside the tube
