Hello 3D printing community!

The TZ-V2 hotend is a Bambulab hotend derivative that features a unique radiator allowing for both groovemount and Phaetus Dragon 4-bolt pattern mounting options. It's an affordable, high-flow hotend, and its cost-effectiveness makes it an attractive option.

This printhead is designed with specific considerations for optimal use with the TZ-V2 hotend, including:

  • Adjusted hotend heatsink cooling to accommodate the unique radiator design.
  • Enlarged hotend heatsink cooling exhaust ports to minimize strain on the hotend heatsink fan.
  • The exhaust ports feature geometry to direct fast-moving exhaust air upward and away from the print bed.
  • A cutout facilitates the routing of heating element and thermistor wires without requiring extreme bends.

Points to consider:

  • Mount the hotend "sideways" to enable easy routing of the heating element and thermistor wires and avoid obstructing airflow from part cooling ducts.
  • The rear part of this printhead is not compatible with the Clockwork 1 (CW1) extruder.
  • There is a version that features extended part-cooling ducts that takes advantage of heated block geometry.

Having extensively searched for a compatible printhead for the TZ-V2 hotend without success, I decided to create my own. I have personally tested and verified the functionality of this printhead. However, as it is a new design, unforeseen issues may arise in the future.
