Hi. I love this clock. But i really had a hard time getting it to work. A 3.7V Lithium Battery did improve things a lot, but still it stopped quite often.
The problem was mainly the Geneva driven gear. The pin from the driver jammed at the tip of the driven gear in certain occasions.
So i modified the part and now its working flawless.
BTW. The open bearings without any grease have much less friction than sealed ones.
Also the bearings were hard to get firmly into the main gear. Either the openings were too small or too big. (talking about 10th of mm) with my design there is more tolerance and still the bearings will fit secure.
Still the best option is to print a test piece ( i added one for the bearing) and also one of each gear to verify the fit.
If you work with fusion you are able to tweak the diameters of the axles.
PS in the picture , i added 2 Lithium 2600mAh cells parallel. That should last a long time :)
The author remixed this model.
new Geneva driven part (no more jamming) and better fit for the bearings
