Car windows are not flat, so why would the frost/ ice scraper be?

Although most scrapers are 75mm-ish wide, they only scrape around 25mm of ice. This is where my research began.

I found that all car windows have some amount of a curve in their shape, this makes it so the actual contact area is much less than the supposed width that the scraper actually ‘scrapes’

Therefore, I designed this scraper, it prints entirely without support and has 17 individual compliant mechanisms that form the scraper around your window for maximum contact.

Settings;
- Layer height; 0,20mm
- Material; PETG
- Perimeters; minimal 3
- Infill 25% Cubic/Gyroid

03/12/2024; Gen 3 release!

  • Made a wider version (150mm instead of 100mm)
  • Made a version with longer handle (200mm instead of 125mm)
  • Made the edge significantly more durable, by changing its printing geometry
  • Made it more reliable to print by implementing enforcement bridges

03/12/2023; Gen 2 release!
- The new model is designed from the ground up!
     It now prints and works correctly with every sheet, has a longer and more comfortable handle, a more durable blade, better printability and a sleek, minimal design.
