3/11/24 Update:

Tried several variations, settled on a remix of the popular Bambu anti-vibration feet. Use these instead:

12/1/23 Update:

Preface - if you're not familiar with input shaping terms the following will sound like a foreign language (it did to me at first). If you want to read up on it go check out the Klipper documentation: Klipper Resonance Compensation

I ran input shaper values on my Neptune 4 Pro and the X-axis improved significantly, from 59hz EI to 37hz MZV (recommended max_accel value was 15,800 - damn). Unfortunately the Y-axis tanked, even moving the accelerometer to different spots on the bed the best I could get was 3HUMP_EI at 113hz, with a max_accel of only 2900 before input shaping starts smoothing away small details. I ended up printing a second set of these feet and stacking them perpendicular to reduce vibration in both directions. This gave much better Y-axis shaper values (59hz MZV) allowing for an overall max_accel of 5900. That, however, is a GIANT pain in the a$$ as the feet wanted to slide off each other as I tried to position the printer correctly, so I'm not recommending it. My solution is to fully redesign this as a uni-directional foot with enough structure to be printed from TPU. It would be easier to just go with a squash ball foot, and these are probably unnecessary, but I'm crazy so here we are!

TLDR: These helped the X-axis on my Neptune 4 Pro a lot but made the Y-axis considerably worse. Wait for my re-design or use the squash ball feet that are out there. YMMV of course.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I liked the simple yet effective design of the original but wanted to take advantage of TPU's elasticity. Added additional structure to the central void to add enough stability to use flexible material.

3/11/24: Posted much better model, see description for link

12/1/23: Ran input shaper values and wasn't happy with the results, see details above
