About

The Loopster is an open source midi controller based on the Raspberry Pi Pico. Unique features are the very satisfying cherry key switch buttons (others use arcade buttons, which are also nice, but much larger and louder), and a fun looper mode.

Printing

I use PETG for everything but you could use whatever. I would print the screen parts and encoder knob with a 0.4mm nozzle, and 0.2 or less layer height. That being said I haven't had issues with fit when printing with a 0.6 nozzle, just might not look quite as clean.

Assembly

  • insert 4x m3 brass heat inset inserts into the case (one in each corner)
  • Insert the SSD1306 into the bottom of the screen and screw directly into the plastic with m3 screws. Slide the screen case top part over the whole thing.
