Microphone Shock Mount | Mike Spider

I needed a shock mount for my fieldrecorder microphone (AKG C1000) to unrumble impact noises. The mike has an diameter of 33,5mm and is 220mm long, weights 340g.

Construction in fusion360

This is my 2nd real construction and the first with multiple parts, tight fittings and nut inlays.

If you are used to construct things in 3d and looking deeper into the fusion360 file - please excuse me, i am a bloody beginner in this sort of things.

Feel free to advise me how to do it in a smarter way ;-D

Printed parts

Obviously it is neccessary to print 2 of the rings, the connection rail and the support connector. On my printer with PETG the fit is precise tight but easy ro handle by hand.

Connection bolts and nuts

I took 3x M3 18mm hex head bolts and 3x M3 square nuts. The holes are a little bigger.

Support connection

The mount for the support is proper fitting to the AKG support connector (the black thing) which has a free gap of 6,9mm and a M4 bolt. You may need to adjust this part (gap and bolt diameter) for other support connectors.

Rubber straps

These are just for the first tests, will find better ones, but they are strong enough. Half of them should do also.
