This is a remix of CNC Kitchens part cooling fan holder of his Titan Aero mount for the CR-10 which mounts to the stepper motor. I wanted to use a full size NEMA17 (in my case the LDO model used on Prusa machines). So I had to extend the mount and I added some stand offs which go into the holes on the extruder vacated by the screws. I'm running a CR-10S with a Titan Aero and Volcano heater block and my final configuration consisted of the following parts.
Cable holder from this Thing
I removed two M3x30mm screws from my LDO NEMA17 stepper and replaced them with M3x35mm screws. I also needed to replace one of the Aero screws with a M3x35mm screw.
The PTFE holder is designed to take hot press metal inserts which can be installed with a soldering iron, after which M3x10mm screws can be fed in through the cable holder from the bottom.
I am using a Festo PTFE coupler with an M5 thread and tapped the hole on the PTFE holder. A short length of PTFE can be feed in from the back to guide filament all the way to the coupler. The cable holder takes 2x1mm zip ties.
Printer Brand: Prusa
Printer: I3 MK3S
Rafts: No
Supports: Yes
Resolution: 0.2mm
Notes:
All parts for my setup were printed in Fillamentum ASA at 0.2mm. I used supports on the fan holder, the PTFE holder and cable holder were printed standing on the bed to avoid supports.
