Coin Counter Box

Get rich, or count trying

You put a coin in the slot and it will sit there until you pull the lever. This will let the coin fall into the box and the 3-digit counter increases by one. If you reach 999 it will turn to 000.

I designed this counter to show lots of mechanical parts as they move around since Ive always been fascinated by gears and things like that and I get so curious about how it all works!
With this coin counter, you can trace all the movements of the parts and see how they work together to perfom the functions of the counter. What makes the wheels move? What makes them turn at the right time? What prevents them from moving at the wrong time?

I hope this will entertain you, and also inpire you to create something more advanced!

Printing Advice

I used 0.2 layer height because some of the small parts wont fit perfectly if you go thicker.
Make sure to remove all support, especially from the inside of the wheels. The inside of the “shields" on the wheels must be smooth or they might get stuck on eachother.

The moving parts such as the ones Ive named “pigg” (cant find a proper english word for it) and the Flipper needs to be so loose that they fall from gravity alone.

Assembling the Coin Counter

Put the Arm into the Holder and push the Axis through the Holder and the first part of the Arm.

Put the Flipper on the pin in the back with the rounded side up, and they "ThirdPigg" on the left pin on top. 

Put the wheels on the axis with wheel One (the one with the thing sticking out) furthest to the left, the thing pointing left. You have to insert the wheels into eachothers shields for them to fit. Make sure the Flipper or ThirdPigg dont fall off.

Now you can insert the BarPoker in the holes in the back, and then the Bar on the pin above it.

Put the coinhatch in its place as in the picture.

And put the whole thing on top of the coin box, and you are ready to get rich, or count trying!
