This model was built out of a need to extend a IDC connector on a main board outside of a case using a 2.54mm pitch “DuPont” connector. It has two main functions:
There are 12 different pairs of models from 1x1 to 6x2. The protectors are press fit and you may need to slightly resize based on printer calibration. It is preferable to enlarge the top piece instead of shrinking the bottom piece or else the connector may not fit.
The 1x1 will work with standard jumper wires.
I have had no issues with connectors seating properly with this cable. The retaining ridge is 0.3mm.
A use case would be extending the SPI port on your printers board/Pi with a cable for easier access when connecting an accelerometer.
