Take standard clamping bands (1 inch wide), add 4 of the 3D printed corners, and you're ready to glue wooden boxes or other things that have 90 degree corners. The main advantage of this design over the purchased version is that the corners can not fall off the strap. In addition, the tunnel is very smooth, so that the strap is not damaged even under the strongest tension.
Very robust and proven in practice over many gluing operations.
This design takes advantage of 3D printing: the tunnel for the belt can be printed without any problems. Bridging also eliminates the need for supports.
There are two sizes available:
Normal (35mm): ![]()
| Large (70mm): ![]() |
The large one is my favorite because I use it mostly for gluing drawers, which are often a bit taller.
Prints in PETG without supports using 0.3mm layer height.
The corners have been designed using OpenSCAD. I have provided the source code for download, so you can adjust the design to your needs. When exporting the stl files you might have to fix them before you can use them with PrusaSlicer. The provided STL files are fixed).
